Keira Renee Wingate
I am originally from Tacoma, WA where I stayed until I was 20. Since then, I’ve lived in OR, CA, IL and now I’ve landed in New York! I started at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York in August.
My experience started as an editor for my undergraduate paper, The DePaulia, freelancing, and then a paid internship in New York. I enjoy all types of news coverage and have written on topics ranging from Trump protests to potatoes. I've developed great skills in writing all types of different stories and will be concentrating on business and economics for the rest of my time in graduate school.
When I am not writing, I enjoy watching movies, having dinner parties with my friends, cooking starchy foods and exploring New York. I also spend lots of time with my cat, Fenty, and if my writing doesn't take off, I'll wholeheartedly become an interior designer.
